Essence of Time

As you know, I'm a proponent for the global changes of 2012. There's many theories out there about what is supposed to happen, personally, I think it will be a meteor shower or cometary shower. Hopefully not an impact. But this is not what this post is about. One of the theories is that 'time' is speeding up. The theory behind it is that the Schumann Resonance (SR) - long considered Earth's 'heartbeat' - has run at 7.8 cycles per second for the last thousand years (how the hell do they know that?), but around 1980 it started speeding up and is currently at 12.9 cycles. The SR itself is a well documented phenomenon - basically it's a cavity between the surface of the Earth and the Ionosphere that captures magnetic pulses created from sources like lightning strikes. The Navy uses the SR as a method of timekeeping in fact, since the cycles of the SR were always dependable.

Anyway, back to my point, if time is speeding up.. how would we even perceive it? We exist within the confines of time, so if time is speeding up, doesn't that mean we and everything we interact with is speeding up too? Which means if time sped up, our point of reference (our consciousness/perception) is also speeding up so in fact it wouldn't feel like there is any change at all. Things like this dwell in my mind. Scary, no? :)
